"Y" Type Strainers are named after their shape and normally used for course filtration. But with large filtration area can be used with fine mesh also.   The Strainer improves the clearance in the medium, and prolongs the life of valves; protect expensive pumps, meters and other equipments.  A Y-strainer can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical position (Downward flow) with the screen elementpointing downward. Ductile Iron Non Rising Stem Flange Type Gate Valve There is no upward movement of the stem in a non-rising stem type. The valve disk is threaded internally. The disc travels along the stem like a nut when the stem is rotated. You can see the image. In this type of valve, stem threads are exposed to the flow medium. Groove Type Butterfly Valve with Handles Butterfly valve is a valve that isolates or regulates the flow of a fluid.
